In attendence
James D. Corder, Andrew P. Drake, S. Potter
Dr. Cunnyngham
Nick Carter, Ian C., Jason Cunnyngham, Nathaniel Graham,
Ho-Sheng Hsiao, Bill Schwanitz
A quick summary of what we discussed at this meeting:
- Mr. Drake, Dr. Cunnyngham, and the youth bantered about the
History of computing before UNIX.
- We recieved copies of the attendence sheet. So far the grades
are dismal. What will we do about it? That has not
come up yet in a discussion among the youth during the
meeting; however, besides the recruiting efforts it is
now on list for youth officers.
- Mr. Corder teaches the leadership module, building on last
week's discussion of time management.
- Mr. Drake presented to the youth the news of the day:
the announcement of the MCI-Sprint merger. The result as
of this moment is the consolidation of the second largest
internet backbone provider. Mr. Drake demonstrated
looking beyond the world of "Micro$oft and UNIX".
