Activities
We went to ITECH with big eyes. We were the only youth group allowed
and we were representing Women in Technologies. That was indeed an honor
which we have Women in Technologies to thank for.
This was our first day.
Unlike our previous conventions, we brought with us a Sun 690 in a small
110-volt case. The case had been freshly painted black. That, and along
with two monitors showing our activities over the past five years. We had
our Crew flags flanking our display. All in all, it was a very good
display.
We talked to people all day. Mr. Corder had a few people he knew back from
his AT&T jobs. Hosh had a visit from someone he worked with at BCI&I. There
were a few from Chemical Abstracts, some from other Scout Troops, and some
just curious about what we do.
We came finished the day, tired, but not drained. In fact, all of the youth
was psyched up and excited. Our meeting afterwards was at Donatoes. Having
taken over four tables, end-to-end, we had an unusually livlier time.
