ActivitiesEvent PageThis was the first time that the Adults turned the open house (membership drive) 100% over to the youth. It was their job to contact the high schools and colleges, hang flyers, do demonstrations, contact the youth, meet with those that RSVPed one-on-one, guarantee the number of youth in attendance, etc... A good open house takes about two months to plan. There are speeches to write and a years program to plan, all in advance. The appearance of the room and the computers are of the smallest importance incomprehension to the belly-to-belly conversations with new prospects. As a great man once taught me: "Sell the sizzle not the stake!" Be strong! You have what they need! They need you! They need what you have! Find their dream and fullfil. Riches come from empowering others, not by climbing over them! It is your excitement and enthusiasm in the "product" that will make the differ ences between success and failure! |
