Are there other Court Cases related to the BSA joining policies
The ACLU in Minnesota has filed suit attempting to limit the BSA
recruiting in St. Paul public schools. At issue is just how
much help a public, tax-funded
body can provide to a private group that maintains
restrictions based on religious views. While courts
have upheld the right of such groups to limit
membership for religious reasons, the MCLU says they
cannot get public support.
There are a number of court cases in which the BSA is not a subject
of the suite, however the suite is concerning BSA units being afiliated
with certain institutions.
