What do we need to bring?

Your unit needs to bring the necessary equipment and decorations; including tables, chairs, benches, speical signs, etc. Bring a sufficient number of unit members in uniform that are trained to operate and explain the booth. Bring your unit and American Flags. Don't forget your pride and enthusiasm!

What kind of space is availaible?

We wnat to encourage and active display. We have a large area. You can have adequate space to put on your display, but you need to let the Scout Show Committee know how much you need. You will be contacted by a member of the committee if there are concerns. A 10 X 10 foot space is the suggested minimum. Make sure your unit number and chartered partner are prominently displayed. A Show participation confirmation will be sent to you when we recieve your unit application. Reservations for space will be on a first come, first serve basis. All displays must be within your space and not extend into pedestrian areas. Remember that there is a large amount of outdoor space available, as well as indoor. No ground fires will be permitted.

Can we campout at the Fiargorunds?

Currently we will be able to have groups camp in the campground near the faciliteis that we will be using at the Fairgrounds.

What are the times of the show

Your unit may set up its display area from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4th and from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, April 5th. The Scout Show will be open to the public Saturday, April 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Judging of display areas will take place during show times. Your unit must remove all equipment that you brought into the show, but not until closing at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

What should we wear?

Encourage the youth to wear a complete correct, clean uniform, or proper identification for Explorers check your handbook. Wear appropriate costumes for period displays. Remember that we are representing Scouting to the public.

Where do we park?

There will be plenty of parking available at the Fairgrounds. There will be a minimal charge for parking.
